What this role covers
We are hiring a Social Media & Marketing Assistant to support a U.S.-based accounting and advisory firm serving nonprofit organizations and mental health practices. This is a part-time role focused entirely on digital marketing execution, brand building, and social media content management.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented, capable of working independently while maintaining strong communication with leadership. This role requires creative marketing support, with the ability to manage confidential information and contribute to business growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media & Content Management
Content Creation: Plan, create, and schedule high-quality content across LinkedIn and Facebook aligned with the firm’s brand identity.
Copywriting: Write and publish 3–4 posts per week tailored to a professional services audience, translating complex accounting and nonprofit finance topics into clear, engaging content.
Visual Design: Create, format, and source visual assets (e.g., text posts, custom graphics, carousels) using tools like Canva.
Content Calendar: Develop, maintain, and execute a consistent social media content calendar.
Multimedia Support: Manage YouTube content workflows, including uploading, basic optimization, and publishing.
Brand Engagement & Marketing Analytics
Community Engagement: Monitor and engage with followers across social platforms to build brand presence and community connection.
Performance Tracking: Track and report on key digital marketing performance metrics (engagement rates, reach, impressions, audience growth).
Bi-Weekly Reporting: Provide regular updates on social media metrics and content performance to inform future creative strategies.
Trend Analysis: Monitor social media trends and competitor content strategies within the professional services space.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
1+ years of proven experience managing social media profiles for a professional services or B2B brand.
2+ years of experience in a digital marketing, copywriting, or content creation capacity.
Proven experience creating LinkedIn content tailored for professional, B2B, or executive audiences.
Strong English communication skills — both written and verbal.
High attention to detail with an eye for clean, modern visual design.
Familiarity with nonprofit organizations, social impact sectors, or professional services.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience creating thought leadership content in finance, accounting, or professional services industries.
Basic experience with video workflows or YouTube channel management (descriptions, thumbnails, scheduling).
Familiarity with digital marketing tools and social media analytics dashboards.
Required Skills & Tools
Social Media Management: LinkedIn and Facebook (Business Page management).
Scheduling Tools: Buffer, Hootsuite, Metricool, or similar platforms.
Design & Multimedia: Canva (or similar graphic design software) and basic YouTube channel workflows.
Productivity & Collaboration: Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar) and Asana for project tracking.
Core Skills: Advanced copywriting, content repurposing, and digital community engagement.
Schedule, Pay & System Requirements
Schedule: Part-Time position; 3 days a week (EST time zone). Fully remote.
Pay: R3500 - R4300 p/m with annual raises and confirmed holidays.

Internet speed of at least 20 Mbps.
Computer with a 2.4 GHz processor or higher.
8 GB of RAM or higher.
Windows 10 or newer, or Mac OS X 10.10 or newer.
HD 720p webcam and a headset with a microphone.
