What this role covers

We are hiring an SEO & GEO Specialist to improve organic search visibility, optimize content for AI-powered search platforms, and create engaging content using AI avatar tools. This is a hands-on role focused on traditional SEO, Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), AI search optimization, and AI-assisted content creation.

The ideal candidate has strong practical SEO experience and understands how to optimize content for emerging AI search platforms such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and Gemini. They should be confident developing content strategies, conducting keyword research, writing effective content, and using AI avatar tools to produce video content. They should also be analytical, proactive, and focused on delivering measurable SEO and GEO results, rather than approaching the role as a general social media or digital marketing position.

Key Responsibilities


SEO & Organic Search Optimization:

  • Develop and implement SEO strategies to improve organic search visibility and performance.

  • Identify relevant keywords and content opportunities to support search growth.

  • Optimize content to improve search relevance, discoverability, and organic traffic.

  • Apply SEO best practices across content and assigned projects.

  • Monitor SEO performance and identify opportunities for ongoing improvement.

Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) & AI Search:

  • Develop and implement GEO strategies to improve content visibility across AI-powered search platforms.

  • Optimize content for platforms such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and Gemini.

  • Research how AI search platforms discover, interpret, and reference online content.

  • Identify opportunities to improve brand visibility and content discoverability in AI-generated answers.

  • Apply emerging AI search optimization practices alongside traditional SEO strategies.

  • Track and demonstrate the impact of SEO and GEO initiatives where measurable data is available.

Content Strategy & Creation:

  • Develop content strategies aligned with SEO, GEO, and business objectives.

  • Conduct keyword research and identify relevant topics and content opportunities.

  • Write clear, engaging, and search-optimized content.

  • Ensure content is structured to support both traditional search engines and AI-powered search experiences.

  • Repurpose existing content into suitable formats for different platforms and audiences.

  • Maintain consistency in content quality, relevance, and messaging.

AI Avatar & Video Content Creation:

  • Create video content using AI avatar platforms such as HeyGen, Synthesia, or D-ID.

  • Develop scripts and content concepts suitable for AI-generated video.

  • Use AI avatar tools to produce engaging, informative, and audience-relevant content.

  • Identify opportunities to incorporate AI-generated video into broader content and SEO strategies.

  • Experiment with AI content creation workflows to improve production efficiency and content output.

Other Marketing & Performance Activities:

  • Research emerging SEO, GEO, and AI search optimization trends.

  • Use available analytics and reporting tools to assess content and search performance.

  • Identify opportunities to improve content strategy based on performance data and search trends.

  • Support broader content marketing initiatives where required.

  • Document results, insights, and successful strategies to inform future optimization efforts.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven hands-on experience in SEO, with a strong understanding of search optimization principles and practices.

  • Demonstrated experience with Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) or AI search optimization.

  • Understanding of how to optimize content for ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, and similar AI-powered search platforms.

  • Experience creating content using AI avatar tools.

  • Familiarity with platforms such as HeyGen, Synthesia, or D-ID.

  • Strong content writing and content strategy skills.

  • Ability to develop content that supports organic search visibility and AI search discoverability.

  • Strong understanding of keyword research and content optimization.

  • Ability to identify content opportunities and translate them into practical SEO and GEO initiatives.

  • Strong written communication and proofreading skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage content and optimization tasks.

  • Attention to detail and a consistent approach to producing high-quality work.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with technical SEO.

  • Familiarity with Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4 (GA4).

  • Experience developing SEO-focused content strategies.

  • Strong keyword research and search intent analysis skills.

  • Experience creating AI-generated videos and developing video scripts.

  • Experience repurposing content across multiple formats and platforms.

  • Demonstrated SEO or GEO results supported by case studies, reporting, or examples of previous work.

  • Experience testing and refining AI-assisted content creation workflows.

  • Familiarity with emerging AI search trends and optimization techniques.

Schedule & Pay:

  • Full-Time position; Monday - Friday PST (roughly 5 PM - 1 AM South African time).

  • Fully remote role for a European company

  • Pay ranges from R14,000 - R18,000 / PHP 54,000 - PHP 81,000 per month depending on skills and experience.

  • Annual raises and confirmed holidays.
