What this role covers

We are hiring an EPR Compliance Specialist for a professional services company in the international trade and e-commerce compliance industry. This is a full-time remote role for a UK-based company. This role is ideal for someone who is an experienced compliance professional capable of taking ownership of EPR documentation, reporting, filing processes, regulatory research, client queries, and process improvements across multiple product categories and countries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate EPR filing, reporting activities, declarations, estimates, and registrations across multiple product categories and countries.

  • Maintain accurate compliance records, documentation, registrations, and filing information.

  • Coordinate data collection and validation required for EPR reporting, submissions, and audits.

  • Monitor upcoming filing deadlines and outstanding compliance requirements to ensure accurate, on-time submissions.

  • Review compliance data for accuracy, identify discrepancies, coordinate corrections, and assist with CRM system data cleanup.

  • Develop, maintain, and improve internal process documentation, manuals, SOPs, tools, trackers, and workflow systems for EPR compliance activities.

  • Monitor regulatory changes in EPR, environmental, packaging, and waste requirements across markets and translate them into actionable compliance steps.

  • Act as a point of contact for EPR and Producer Responsibility Organisation (PRO) queries, investigate compliance issues, communicate with stakeholders, and escalate high-risk matters.

  • Prepare operational reports, maintain workload dashboards, coordinate team priorities, and facilitate operational meetings.

  • Provide process guidance, onboarding, and training to junior team members while sharing regulatory knowledge across the team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Environmental Management, Business Administration, Compliance, Sustainability, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in compliance, environmental reporting, regulatory administration, EPR, sustainability, or a similar operational compliance environment.

  • Experience managing compliance processes, filings, reporting cycles, or regulatory documentation.

  • Strong ability to manage large volumes of data and documentation with high accuracy.

  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of processes and manage multiple deadlines independently.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

  • Comfortable communicating with internal teams, clients, external partners, and management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working directly with EPR, Producer Responsibility Organizations (PROs), environmental compliance, or extended producer responsibility schemes.

  • Familiarity with EPR regulations and environmental compliance frameworks in the UK and/or EU.

  • Experience developing process documentation, SOPs, manuals, trackers, management dashboards, or internal workflow systems.

  • Previous experience training or mentoring team members.

  • Knowledge of sustainability principles, waste management, packaging regulations, or circular economy concepts.

  • Strong regulatory research skills with experience working with international clients or cross-border compliance requirements.

Required Skills & Tools:

  • 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Google Workspace.

  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills, including managing and organizing large datasets and reporting information.

  • Online compliance, reporting, and regulatory platforms.

  • CRM, workflow, and compliance management systems.

Schedule & Pay:

FULL-TIME position; 8:00 AM–5:00 (incl. 1-hour lunch) BST
This is a fully remote job for a UK based company
Pay ranges from R22,000 - R30,000 per month, depending on experience and skill
Annual raises, confirmed holidays PTO
