We are hiring a Remote Community Manager for a growing sports tech company in the Sports industry. This is a full-time remote role for a US-based company. This role is ideal for someone who combines the strategic and friendly mindset of a Community Manager with the execution and discipline of an Operations Assistant. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable moderating and growing online groups, and able to write clear, engaging posts that feel local and helpful rather than salesy.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage, moderate, and grow city-specific Facebook groups focused on racket sports across our launch markets.
Execute the local community strategy by posting weekly programming recommendations, events, and newsletters.
Review and moderate daily user posts to maintain a healthy, active, and safe community environment.
Drive engagement by encouraging player-to-player connections, helping the groups become the go-to place for people to find what to play and who to play with.
Follow a strict weekly content cadence and track basic engagement metrics (growth, post activity, response rates).
Identify high-quality local programs or events to share with the community.
Escalate promising B2B opportunities (local clubs, coaches, or prominent players) back team.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in Community Management, social media operations, or Facebook Group moderation.
Exceptional written English with a natural ability to write welcoming, engaging, and community-driven copy.
Strong operational discipline: ability to follow strict weekly cadences, manage spreadsheets, and track metrics.
High attention to detail and ability to multitask across multiple city-specific groups simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior industry experience or a personal passion for racket sports (tennis, pickleball, padel) or sports in general is highly desirable (super nice to have!).
Required Skills & Tools:
Facebook Groups / Meta Business Suite (Advanced level for moderation and community analytics)
Google Workspace / Microsoft Office (Excel/Sheets for tracking engagement metrics and managing links)
Internal communication tools (Slack, WhatsApp, or similar team tools)
Schedule & Pay:
Full-time position (40 hours per week); US hours in the EST time zone.
This is a fully remote job for a US-based company.
Estimated Monthly Salary: R14,000 - R21,000 per month.
Annual raises, bonuses, confirmed holidays, and PTO.
