What this role covers

We are hiring a Regulatory Compliance Administrator for a professional services company in the international VAT, EPR, and e-commerce compliance industry. This is a full-time remote role for a UK-based company.

This role is ideal for a meticulous, process-driven professional who excels at translating complex EU safety regulations into actionable guidance for global e-commerce brands. GPSR-specific training will be provided. We are seeking a commercially minded, adaptable self-starter who is comfortable learning new regulatory frameworks and applying them in a practical, business-focused way.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Communication & Case Management

  • Primary Liaison: Serve as the dedicated point of contact for assigned General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) clients.

  • SLA Management: Proactively resolve client queries within established Service Level Agreements.

  • Audit Readiness: Maintain rigorous case notes and comprehensive audit trails within internal CRM systems.

  • Risk Escalation: Identify and escalate complex compliance risks to senior specialists to ensure client protection.

  • Onboarding: Deliver structured compliance checklists and step-by-step onboarding guidance to new partners.

Regulatory Monitoring

  • Legislative Tracking: Monitor evolving EU product safety standards, specifically GPSR (EU) 2023/988, CE marking, REACH/RoHS, and product-specific directives.

  • Knowledge Distribution: Support the creation of client-facing compliance bulletins and internal training modules to keep the team ahead of the curve.

Internal Coordination

  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with VAT, Customs, EPR, and Regulatory departments to provide end-to-end support for EU market entry.

  • Expansion Projects: Contribute to global expansion initiatives and maintain structured internal compliance trackers to ensure project transparency.

Required Qualifications:

  • Administrative Excellence: Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to manage high-volume client caseloads.

  • Communication Mastery: Business level English proficiency (written and verbal) with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.

  • Analytical Thinking: A strong aptitude for interpreting complex regulatory guidance and legal frameworks.

  • Detail Orientation: A "zero-error" mindset when handling technical files and legal documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Compliance Background: Previous experience within a legal, regulatory, or compliance environment.

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Familiarity with EU product compliance, specifically GPSR or CE marking.

  • E-commerce Proficiency: Working knowledge of Amazon Seller Central compliance processes and general e-commerce operations.

  • Linguistic Skills: Proficiency in an additional European language (Dutch or Spanish) is highly advantageous.

Required Skills & Tools:

  • Microsoft Office Suite: Advanced proficiency in Excel (data tracking), Outlook, and Word.

  • CRM Systems: Experience maintaining digital audit trails and case notes.

Schedule & Pay:

  • Full-time position; 40 hours per week in the GMT/BST time zone.

  • This is a fully remote job for a UK-based company.

  • Pay ranges from R18 000 - R25 000, depending on experience and skill.

  • Annual raises, performance bonuses, and confirmed holiday PTO.
