What this role covers
We are hiring an Operations Assistant for a personal chef and events company in the hospitality/culinary services industry. This is a part-time remote role for a U.S.-based company in Austin, Texas. This role is ideal for someone who has a warm, personable approach with clients, strong sales and operations experience, and the ability to manage client relationships from start to finish while coordinating event details.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle inbound sales calls and client inquiries in a professional and caring manner
Guide clients through the booking process, from initial consultation to event execution
Coordinate event logistics, including menu selection from prepared options and client preferences
Manage client accounts, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business
Follow established sales scripts and processes using the company’s CRM (Dubsado)
Provide administrative and operational support as needed
Maintain timely communication with clients, chefs, and team members
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in sales, client services, or operations
Background in event coordination or hospitality preferred
Strong phone presence and excellent communication skills
Ability to multitask and manage multiple client accounts simultaneously
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with culinary concepts and ability to discuss menus with clients
Previous experience working in the hospitality, catering, or events industry
Experience supporting small businesses or startups
Required Skills & Tools:
CRM software (experience with Dubsado strongly preferred)
Strong organizational and time management skills
Professional phone etiquette and client communication skills
Comfort with remote work tools (email, video conferencing, shared docs)
Schedule & Pay:
Part-time position: 20 hours per week (10 AM – 2 PM CST preferred)
This is a fully remote job for a U.S.-based company (Austin, TX)
Pay: R7000 to R8000 (South African Rands)
