We are hiring a Marketing Assistant for a tutoring/education services company in the Edtech industry. This is a Part-Time remote role for a UK-based client. The role is focused on implementing a digital marketing strategy across social media, short-form video, lead magnets/funnels, basic email marketing, blog/web updates, and light admin to support growth.
This role is ideal for a tech-savvy, creative professional who can take strategic concepts and turn them into high-quality digital content, helping an established educator transition from in-person services to a global online model.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute a consistent social media content calendar (3–5 posts per week), including copy, graphics, and scheduling
Edit short-form videos (e.g., reels, TikToks) with captions, hooks, subtitles, and light cleanup to ensure on-brand, high-quality output
Manage and implement short-form funnels and "freebies" to drive client sign-ups and expand the email marketing list.
Build and nurture the email list: create basic email campaigns/newsletters and coordinate list growth from social funnels
Publish and update blog content and resources on the website/CMS; repurpose content across channels
Maintain brand consistency across all assets; organize a content library and manage digital assets
Track performance metrics (social/email/landing pages) and share concise weekly reports with insights
Provide light administrative support related to marketing operations (e.g., scheduling posts, file management, simple research)
Collaborate closely with the founder on priorities, timelines, and approvals; suggest process improvements as needed
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in a digital marketing, social media management, or marketing assistance role
2+ years creating social media content (short form reels, social media posts and long form newsletters, etc)
Strong background in video editing with an eye for professional aesthetics.
Experience in content creation, specifically formatting documents and PDFs to match brand guidelines.
Strong English communication skills with high attention to detail for proofreading and copywriting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working within the education or tutoring sector.
Experience assisting a business through a scaling phase (e.g., moving from 1-on-1 to group sessions).
Knowledge of lead magnets and basic marketing funnel logic.
Required Skills & Tools:
Video Editing: CapCut or similar mobile/desktop editing suites.
Design: Canva (proficient in using templates and brand kits).
AI Tools: ChatGPT for content refinement.
Web Management: Basic CMS experience (WordPress or similar).
Organization: Excel/Google Sheets for lead tracking and organization.
Schedule & Pay:
Part-Time position; approximately 20 hours per week working UK business hours (GMT/BST)
Fully remote role
Pay ranges from R6 300 - R8 500 per month for 20 hours/week, depending on experience
Includes training, mentorship, and growth potential (scope/hours may expand as the business scales)
