What this role covers
We are hiring a Business Development Assistant to support a sustainable procurement consultancy working with corporate clients globally on supply chain decarbonisation, alongside an e-learning product for procurement professionals. This role will primarily support outbound sales activity, inbound lead management, customer onboarding, and e-learning platform administration.
The ideal candidate has genuine SDR/BDR outbound sales experience rather than a generalist EA or administrative background. They should be comfortable managing lead follow-up and nurturing sequences, reviewing customer communications for accuracy, and handling administrative processes with a high level of attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Outbound Sales Support:
Manage outbound sequences in Apollo once sequences have been set up, including responding to prospect replies and scheduling meetings.
Review AI-drafted outbound emails for accuracy before they are sent.
Verify customer names, company information, context, and other relevant details in outbound communications.
Support consistent lead nurturing and follow-up cadences.
Inbound Lead Management:
Manage inbound leads generated through the e-learning platform.
Review and organize inbound leads.
Transfer qualified leads into the appropriate Apollo sequences.
Ensure leads are followed up promptly and accurately.
Customer Onboarding:
Complete customer supplier onboarding forms and portals as part of the new business closing process.
Generate customer invoices using Xero or HubSpot.
Ensure onboarding and invoicing information is accurate and completed efficiently.
E-Learning Platform User Management:
Provide basic account administration for existing customers using the e-learning platform.
Assist customers with password resets and other straightforward account-related requests.
Maintain accurate customer information and support a positive user experience.
General Administrative Support:
Assist with ad hoc administrative tasks as required.
Support the wider team with operational tasks related to sales, customers, and business administration.
Required Qualifications:
Previous experience in an SDR, BDR, outbound sales, or business development role.
Comfortable managing outbound leads, follow-up, and lead nurturing cadences.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to review and verify customer information before communications are sent.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using Apollo or similar sales engagement platforms.
Experience supporting B2B sales processes.
Experience with customer onboarding and supplier portals.
Familiarity with Xero and/or HubSpot.
Experience working with e-learning or SaaS platforms.
Experience working with sustainability, procurement, or supply chain-related businesses.

Schedule & Pay:
Part-Time position; Monday - Friday UK time.
Pay ranges from R3,500 - R4,000 per month.
Annual raises and confirmed holidays.
