What this role covers

We are hiring a Engagement Specialist for a fast-growing U.S.-based company operating in the workforce engagement space. This is a full-time remote role designed for someone who is highly articulate, confident on camera, and experienced in structured, high-quality candidate and client-facing conversations.

This role is ideal for individuals from backgrounds such as customer success, sales, talent acquisition, support, training, hospitality, communications, or other service-driven environments where professionalism, clarity, and presence are key.

You will lead structured live conversations and ensure every interaction reflects a consistent, high-quality candidate experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct structured live conversations with individuals via video and/or phone

  • Guide interactions using predefined frameworks while maintaining natural flow and rapport

  • Ensure every conversation is handled with professionalism, clarity, and consistency

  • Ask structured questions to understand background, experience, and alignment

  • Capture detailed and accurate notes in internal systems (ATS or CRM)

  • Represent the company as a professional, client-facing brand representative

  • Maintain composure and engagement across back-to-back scheduled interactions

  • Ensure a smooth and positive experience for every participant

Required Qualifications:

  • 2-4+ years in client-facing or people-facing roles (talent acquisition, customer success, sales, online teaching, hospitality, communications, or similar)

  • Strong verbal communication skills with a clear, professional tone

  • Strong interpersonal intelligence and ability to build rapport quickly

  • Comfortable speaking on camera and engaging in structured conversations

  • Strong active listening and ability to follow conversational frameworks

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation

  • Ability to work in a structured, time-sensitive environment

  • Based in South Africa and available for US business hours (Mon–Fri)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in talent acquisition, training, onboarding, or customer experience roles

  • Exposure to CRM or structured workflow tools

Required Skills & Tools:

  • A fibre internet connection with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps.

  • Computer with a 2.4 GHz processor or higher.

  • 8 GB of RAM or higher.

  • Windows 10 or newer, or Mac OS X 10.10 or newer.

  • HD 720p webcam.

  • Headset with a microphone.

Schedule & Pay:

Full-time position; US business hours (8am–5pm EST/CST/PST depending on assignment)

Fully remote role for a U.S.-based company

Pay ranges from R15,000 – R18,000 per month
