We are hiring an Insurance Operations Assistant for a fast-paced, technology-driven insurance brokerage based in the US. This is a full-time remote role within the insurance and financial services industry. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured, high-responsibility environment, is highly organized, tech-savvy, and confident communicating with clients over the phone while managing multiple operational tasks daily.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary back-office support for the personal lines insurance producer.
Handle end-to-end insurance quoting processes, including data entry, running comparative quotes, and preparing options for presentation.
Process policy binding and payments, including setting up billing, autopay, and ensuring accurate documentation.
Manage client service requests via phone and email, including policy updates, endorsements, billing queries, cancellations, and general inquiries.
Communicate directly with insurance carriers to submit applications, follow up on underwriting, and resolve issues.
Proactively manage policy renewals, including remarketing policies and assisting clients with better coverage options.
Handle lender and mortgage requests, including proof of insurance, policy documents, and coordination with financial institutions.
Maintain accurate and detailed records in the agency management system (ATS/AMS).
Use internal systems and AI tools to troubleshoot, manage workflows, and ensure efficient task completion.
Maintain a professional, confident, and friendly tone in all client interactions.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2+ years of experience in administration, insurance support, customer service, or a similar operational role.
At least 1+ year of remote/work-from-home experience.
Familiarity with CRM/ATS/AMS systems, quoting tools, or similar platforms.
Strong phone communication skills with clear, professional, and natural English (essential).
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Comfortable handling multiple systems and workflows simultaneously.
Based in South Africa with availability to work full-time U.S. business hours (Monday–Friday).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in insurance (P&C) or financial services (advantageous but not required).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Comfortable learning and using new technology, including AI-based tools.

Schedule & Pay:
Full-time position aligned to U.S. Eastern Time (9am – 5pm EST).
Fully remote role working with a U.S.-based company.
Pay ranges from R22,000 – R35,000 per month (based on experience).
