Customer Service Executive

What this role covers

We are hiring a Customer Service Executive for a professional services company in the international VAT, EPR, and e-commerce compliance industry. This is a full-time remote role for a UK-based company. This role is ideal for someone who is commercially aware, highly structured, and experienced in international compliance or financial client environments, with the ability to manage complex cases, sensitive financial discussions, and multi-jurisdiction coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

VAT & Compliance Client Coordination

  • Act as first-line contact for VAT and EPR queries

  • Ensure all client emails are responded to within 12 hours

  • Coordinate with VAT Managers and Compliance teams across jurisdictions

  • Track filing deadlines and required documentation

  • Ensure timely client data submission to avoid penalties

  • Escalate risk issues promptly

EPR & Multi-Jurisdiction Compliance Support

  • Manage client queries relating to EPR registrations and submissions

  • Coordinate compliance communication across EU jurisdictions

  • Monitor regulatory updates and inform relevant teams

  • Ensure structured communication and deadline tracking

Credit Control & Commercial Discipline

  • Support dunning processes and Stripe dispute resolution

  • Work closely with Finance and Billing teams (NetSuite environment)

  • Escalate high-risk accounts appropriately

Online Reputation Management Support

  • Monitor client feedback platforms

  • Escalate negative reviews immediately

  • Coordinate resolution responses with management

  • Support proactive reputation protection

  • Reduce complaints through disciplined case resolution

Case Resolution & Client Experience Excellence

  • Own complex cases until full resolution

  • Reduce unnecessary back-and-forth communication

  • Identify root causes of recurring issues

  • Suggest process improvements

  • Support migration toward structured, platform-led communication

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in:

    • Customer service (professional services or compliance preferred)

    • Regulatory support or compliance support environments

    • Credit control or financial client management

  • Strong knowledge of international client environments

  • Comfortable managing sensitive financial discussions

  • Experience working within structured reporting systems (CRM, ERP)

  • Fluent English (written and spoken)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in international VAT, EPR, or compliance environments

  • Additional EU languages: Spanish, German, Italian advantageous

  • Experience supporting multi-jurisdiction operations

Required Skills & Tools:

  • CRM systems (Zoho or similar)

  • ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)

  • Stripe (dispute resolution experience)

  • Structured case management platforms

  • Microsoft Office or Google Workspace

  • Compliance tracking systems

Schedule & Pay:

  • Full-time position; UK business hours in the GMT/BST time zone

  • This is a fully remote job for a UK-based company.

  • Pay ranges from R14,000 – R18,000 per month, depending on experience and skill.

  • Annual raises, performance-based bonuses, and confirmed holiday PTO included.
